The 7 Days Challenge

What will you commit to for 7 days?

What will you commit to for 7 days?

This month we are focusing on change. The challenge is to do something positive, that benefits you or those around you, for 7 days. This “something” can’t be something you are already doing consistently. It can, however, be something that you used to do but have gotten away from. For example, I don’t walk my dog nearly as much as I should. My goal for this challenge is to consistently walk my dog 7 days in a row.

It sounds easy, but sticking with something new is a challenge. You have to adjust your routine. If something comes along and blocks your path, you have to be WILLING, and DETERMINED to stay on the path. Then, you have to COMMIT to ACTIONS that keep you on the path in spite of the obstacles.

Take some time out today to think about what you will be committed to for 7 days. Maybe it is changing your mindset and giving yourself daily positive affirmations or stopping negative thoughts in their path. Maybe it is to limit your time spent in distraction tasks, and spend more time in action tasks (like me and getting sucked into watching videos online!). It could be making healthy choices daily, like going for a walk, or eating fruit instead of that candy bar. You could be more outwardly focused and make time daily to say I love you, or to give someone a hug. Maybe it is simply remembering to wipe that scowl off of your face and smile. By the end of this challenge, you may find that your life is changing, even if it is ever so slightly.

You know I love quotes, so here’s one for this challenge. I’m borrowing this quote, “You must be the change you wish to see in the world,” from Mahatma Ghandi. My “make it your own” quote is this:
You must be the change you wish to see in your world.

Affirmation: I am able to make positive changes in my life.
